We are in the middle of curriculum change, Base Realignment and Closure, and a national health care debate.  The cardiopulmonary and renal systems are in the middle of the body (more or less).  And our module is in the middle of the pre-clerkship phase of USU's master plan.   

Rest assured, that "the middle" is a fortunate position to be in.  Here we have the experience and lessons learned from the past while at the same time the future is not yet cast in stone.  This is an opportunity to impact hundreds of future physicians for years to come.  You, our university's outstanding scientists and clinicians will put together an excellent curriculum.  Your contributions are important and appreciated.
